Vielka
Vielka is passionate about helping humanity sing! She is the founder of Vielka’s Young Singers Academy and teaches voice pedagogy at NYU’s Kodály Summer Institute sharing her innovative vocal approach, The Vielka Method™.
As The Juilliard School's former Global K-12 Music Specialist and creator of Carnegie Hall's Music Educators Toolbox, Vielka has 25 years in NYC as a workshop facilitator, thought partner for music teachers, and music educator for all ages. A contralto, she has performed at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
A lifelong learner, Vielka holds an M.A. in Music Education and Kodály Level III Certification from New York University, and B.M. in Classical Voice from Manhattan School of Music with extensive additional studies. She serves on the board of the Drama Desk award-winning non-profit, TADA! Youth Theater. She loves energetic NYC living with her husband, children, and cats.
